Job Title: SQL DBA (Database Administrator)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced SQL DBA to manage, maintain, monitor, and optimize SQL Server databases. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, security management, and ensuring
high availability of database environments.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain SQL Server databases.
Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues.
Perform database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning. Implement and maintain database security, user access, and permissions. Monitor database health, storage, and capacity planning.
Perform performance tuning using indexing, query optimization, and execution plan analysis.
Manage database replication, clustering, and high-availability solutions.
Support production, development, and testing database environments.
Automate routine DBA tasks using SQL scripts, Power, or other tools.
Troubleshoot database-related incidents and provide root cause analysis.
Ensure database compliance with organizational policies and standards.
Required Skills
Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
Expertise in T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Views, Functions, and Triggers.
Knowledge of Backup & Recovery, High Availability (HA), and Disaster Recovery (DR).
Experience with Performance Tuning and Query Optimization.
Understanding of Database Security and Access Management.
Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
Knowledge of Always On Availability Groups, Replication, and Clustering.
Familiarity with Windows Server environments.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Power scripting.
Knowledge of Azure SQL Database or cloud database platforms.
Experience with monitoring tools and database automation.
Understanding of ITIL processes and ticketing systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
3+ years of SQL Server DBA experience (adjust based on requirement).
Microsoft SQL Server certifications are a plus.
