SAP RISE Architect is responsible for designing, planning, and leading the transformation of traditional SAP landscapes into the RISE with SAP model. This includes S/4HANA migrations, cloud architecture design, and integration strategy across hyperscale’s.
The role combines SAP Basis, infrastructure, cloud, and enterprise architecture expertise to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing SAP environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end architecture for RISE with SAP engagements, including system conversion, new implementations, and landscape transformations
• Design SAP S/4HANA architecture on cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
• Define target architecture covering SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), integrations, and extensions
• Drive SAP landscape transformation strategies (Brownfield, Greenfield, Hybrid)
• Collaborate with functional, technical, and infrastructure teams to ensure alignment with business goals
• Provide expertise in SAP system sizing, scalability, performance optimization, and high availability
• Oversee migration planning, execution, and post-migration stabilization
• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory requirements
• Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, including CIOs, business leaders, and project teams
Required Skills & Experience
• 12–18+ years of SAP experience with strong background in SAP Basis, architecture, and cloud
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and at least one full-cycle implementation or conversion
• Proven experience with RISE with SAP offerings and managed cloud environments
• Strong understanding of SAP landscape design, including multi-tier and hybrid architectures
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure-as-aservice models
• Knowledge of SAP BTP, integration frameworks, and APIs
• Familiarity with SAP tools such as SUM, DMO, and migration cockpit
• Strong understanding of disaster recovery, high availability, and system security
Preferred Qualifications
• SAP certifications in S/4HANA, cloud, or architecture domains
• Experience with SAP Activate methodology
• Exposure to DevOps practices and automation in SAP environments
• Experience working in global, multi-region SAP deployments
