As a Senior DDI Engineer, you will operate as a strategic architect within an established engineering team. You’ll lead the design, transformation, and optimization of DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI) services across on-prem and cloud environments. This role emphasizes architecture, leadership, and long-term strategy—not support.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as an architect-level SME focused on DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM)
  • Provide technical leadership and strategic direction across hybrid network environments
  • Evaluate existing on-prem infrastructure and guide evolution to hybrid/cloud architectures
  • Design scalable, secure, and resilient DNS/DHCP/IPAM solutions
  • Partner with engineering teams to develop roadmaps, execution strategies, and best practices
  • Drive design reviews and participate in governance discussions
  • Automate DDI workflows using scripting and infrastructure-as-code practices
  • Troubleshoot complex DDI issues and lead root cause analysis for critical incidents
  • Collaborate with cloud, security, and networking teams on enterprise initiatives
  • Maintain documentation, standards, and compliance across DDI systems

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 5–7+ years of true engineering experience (not support-focused)
  • Strong hands-on expertise in DDI technologies (DNS, DHCP, IPAM)
  • Proven experience with Infoblox (primary requirement)
  • Experience in both on-prem and hybrid/cloud environments
  • Strong networking fundamentals and enterprise-level experience
  • Demonstrated ability to think architecturally and influence technical direction
  • Experience designing and implementing scalable DDI solutions
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to guide teams and stakeholders

 

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience with BlueCat or other DDI platforms
  • Cloud DNS experience (e.g., AWS Route 53, Azure DNS)
  • Familiarity with Active Directory
  • Experience with automation tools (Python, Ansible, APIs)
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise environments (thousands of users)
