Inviting applications for the role of Workday HCM Architect
In this role, The Workday HCM Architect leads AMS techno-functional support and optimization for Workday HCM modules, ensuring stability, data integrity, and process efficiency. This role drives configuration governance, enhancement design, and cross-functional coordination across HCM product families.
Responsibilities
• Serve as techno-functional AMS lead for HCM modules: Core HCM, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Time Tracking, and Country Extensions.
• Lead configuration reviews and validations to ensure alignment with global and local HR policies.
• Analyze change requests and assess business impact; provide configuration and testing guidance.
• Drive system stabilization by resolving recurring issues in business processes or integrations.
• Collaborate with HR and IT stakeholders to prioritize AMS enhancements and manage release readiness.
• Support new country enablement and statutory configuration updates.
• Validate new features in Workday releases and recommend adoption based on value and readiness.
• Partner with Technical Architect on integration dependencies for recruiting, payroll, and downstream systems.
• Maintain HCM configuration inventory and process documentation.
• Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) for AMS releases.
• Review KPIs on incident volume, SLA adherence, and backlog closure.
• Conduct periodic functional health assessments of critical business processes.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Information Systems, or related field.
• Workday HR Modules (Payroll, HCM, Absences, Time Tracking) certified for atleast 2 modules.
• 8+ years Workday experience; 4+ years in AMS or post-production support roles.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proven experience acting as a translator between business and technical teams, with a strong understanding of both HR processes and Workday configuration.
• Experience in leading or supporting HRIT projects end-to-end, including requirements gathering, testing, and deployment.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with a consultative mindset and ability to influence without authority.
• Deep familiarity with Workday tools and functionality; experience with JIRA, ServiceNow, or similar platforms is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; Workday certification(s) preferred.
• Proven expertise in Workday Core HCM, Core & Adv Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Absence Management, Talent Management, Payroll.
• Strong track record of leading HR technology transformations and system implementations.
• Deep knowledge of HR systems strategy, governance, and optimization.
• Ability to drive digital transformation and automation in HR processes.
• Strong project management and change leadership skills.
• Expertise in data analytics, workforce insights, and reporting tools.
• Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Workday HCM modules, at least 2 modules – Core HCM and any Payroll.
• Understanding of Absence, Time Tracking, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll and Time configuration frameworks.
• Experience with localization for the US, Mexico, UK and India.
• Deep domain expertise with Workday Security and reporting for HR metrics.
