EOHHS CTO is looking for a Cloud Engineer, specializing in Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), who will be responsible for supporting EHS-wide initiatives. The suitable candidate will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining IDP solutions across the EOHHS multi-agency environment, translating the enterprise architecture into operational reality. Working closely with the Cloud Architect, the IDP Engineer will be the primary technical resource for building and optimizing document processing workflows, training agency-level administrators, and ensuring consistent, high-quality IDP implementations across all child organizations within the EOHHS umbrella.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Platform Implementation & Configuration
- Implement, configure, and maintain the IDP platform across the EOHHS multi-agency environment.
- Build and optimize intelligent document processing workflows, including document classification, data extraction, validation, and integration with downstream systems.
- Configure and manage sub-tenant environments for child agencies within the parent EOHHS instance, ensuring proper segregation, permissions, and resource allocation.
- Develop and maintain document classification projects, extraction rules, and training sets to achieve high accuracy across diverse document types used by health and human services agencies.
- Agency Enablement & Training
- Serve as the primary technical trainer and mentor for agency-level administrators across EOHHS child organizations.
- Develop and deliver training programs, documentation, and knowledge base materials that enable agency personnel to manage day-to-day IDP operations within their sub-tenant environments.
- Provide hands-on guidance to agency teams during initial project setup, helping them configure workflows, extraction models, and integrations consistent with enterprise standards.
- Establish a community of practice among agency IDP admins to share knowledge, best practices, & lessons learned.
- Quality Assurance & Consistency
- Ensure consistency across all agency IDP projects by implementing and enforcing the standards, templates, and design patterns defined by the Cloud/Content Architect.
- Monitor document processing accuracy, throughput, and system performance across all agency environments, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
- Conduct regular reviews of agency IDP implementations to verify compliance with standards & identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop testing strategies and validation procedures for new document types, workflow changes, and platform upgrades.
- Technical Operations & Integration
- Coordinate platform upgrade, patch, and maintenance schedules in coordination with the Cloud/Content Architect and Commonwealth IT operations.
- Design and implement integrations between the IDP platform and agency line-of-business applications, databases, & repositories.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the platform, including document processing errors, workflow failures, and integration problems.
- Contribute to capacity planning, performance tuning, and optimization of the IDP environment.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Hands-on experience with workflow design, document classification, and data extraction configuration, preferably with Tungsten Automation Total Agility & related certification
- Experience configuring and managing multi-tenant or multi-organizational environments within an IDP/content platform.
- Strong scripting and development skills (e.g., C#, .NET, JavaScript, SQL) for customizing workflows and integrations.
- Experience with Tungsten RPA, Tungsten Communication Manager, or other products in the Tungsten Automation portfolio.
- Familiarity with multi-tenant deployments where child agencies or departments operate semi-autonomously within a parent environment.
- Experience working in government, healthcare, or other highly regulated environments, particularly with health and human services agencies.
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements as they pertain to document processing and content management.
- Experience with AI/ML-based document classification and extraction model training and optimization.
- 7 years of IT experience, with 3+ years’ experience in IDP Engineer role
- Excellent interpersonal and training skills with the ability to mentor non-specialist administrators and translate complex technical procedures into accessible guidance.
Education:
- Undergraduate degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience
