Position Overview
The Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF) is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence / Tableau Administrator to support its mission-critical Child Welfare Information System (CTKIND/CCWIS). The selected consultant will administer and support Tableau Cloud environments, Azure SQL reporting platforms, Azure Data Factory pipelines, Salesforce reporting, and MuleSoft integrations while ensuring the reliability and performance of enterprise reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer Tableau Cloud sites, projects, users, groups, permissions, and security.
- Manage Tableau Dev, Test, and Production environments.
- Monitor Tableau platform health, extract refreshes, subscriptions, and scheduled jobs.
- Troubleshoot Tableau performance, connectivity, and reporting issues.
- Support report developers, analysts, and business users.
- Deploy and promote Tableau reports across environments.
- Support Azure SQL Database environments used for enterprise reporting.
- Investigate reporting issues and perform SQL data validation.
- Monitor database connectivity, query performance, and data refresh processes.
- Troubleshoot SQL and SOQL performance issues.
- Monitor Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines loading Salesforce and other source systems into Azure SQL Database.
- Investigate ETL failures and data quality issues.
- Support MuleSoft Runtime Fabric (RTF) integrations affecting reporting platforms.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and integration teams during deployments and incident resolution.
- Create and maintain technical documentation throughout the SDLC.
- Provide mentoring, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing to junior team members.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience administering Tableau Cloud or Tableau Server.
- Strong Tableau administration, security, permissions, and environment management experience.
- Experience supporting enterprise reporting and analytics platforms.
- Strong SQL skills with Azure SQL Database or other relational databases.
- Experience with Salesforce administration concepts including:
- Users
- Roles
- Profiles
- Permission Sets
- Sharing Rules
- Objects and Relationships
- Experience troubleshooting reporting, security, and data integration issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive tasks from requirements through implementation.

Candidate Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- H1B candidates are accepted only if the I-140 has been approved.
- Candidate must be local to Connecticut or willing to relocate.
- Must be able to work onsite one day per week.
- Must attend at least one in-person interview.
- Vendors must introduce candidates during all virtual meetings.
