Overview
We are seeking a Data Engineer with experience in modern data platforms, Python development, and Snowflake. This individual will support a strategic initiative focused on migrating and optimizing data solutions within a Lakehouse architecture built on Snowflake. Prior Goldman Sachs experience, particularly within teams utilizing the firm’s Lakehouse environment, is highly preferred and will be considered a significant advantage.
Responsibilities
Support the migration of data assets, pipelines, and workflows from Snowflake into a Lakehouse-based architecture.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python.
Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement solutions.
Optimize data ingestion, transformation, and storage processes within Snowflake and Lakehouse environments.
Ensure data quality, integrity, governance, and performance across enterprise datasets.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to data pipelines and platform performance.
Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to best practices for data engineering and analytics platforms.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles.
Strong hands-on experience with Python.
Solid experience working with Snowflake.
Experience building, maintaining, or migrating enterprise data pipelines.
Understanding of modern data architecture concepts, including data lakes, data warehouses, and Lakehouse platforms.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
