About the Role:
Futran Solutions is seeking an experienced Tech Lead – Data Engineering & BI to drive the design, development, and delivery of modern data platform solutions for our clients. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will architect and build scalable data pipelines, guide a team of Data Engineers and BI Developers, and serve as a key bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, including Business Analysts and end users.
Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership
-
Lead the end-to-end design and development of data pipelines, data models, and BI solutions on Azure.

Provide architectural guidance on Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Denodo, and SQL-based solutions.

Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and establish standards for data engineering and BI development.

Identify skill gaps and support team development through coaching and knowledge sharing.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Partner closely with Business Analysts to translate business requirements into robust technical specifications.

Engage directly with business users to understand data needs, validate solutions, and drive adoption.

Communicate technical decisions, risks, and progress clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Leadership & Collaboration

2+ years of experience leading a team of Data Engineers and/or BI Developers.

Proven track record of working with Business Analysts and business users in requirement gathering and solution validation.

Experience managing delivery in Agile environments.
Experience:
-
7–10 years of overall experience in data engineering and analytics.
-
3+ years of hands-on experience on the Azure Data Platform stack.

Experience delivering solutions in cloud-native or hybrid data architectures.
Nice to Have:
-
Experience with Power BI (development and governance).

Familiarity with dbt or similar data transformation frameworks.

Exposure to data governance and data catalog tools (Microsoft Purview, Collibra).

Experience in regulated industries such as Finance, or P& C Insurance

Azure cloud certifications.
