SQL Server Database Administrator
Contract
Role Description:
• Installation and Configuration of SQL database servers
• Managing Support of Prod, Dev, QA, test environments
• OS Knowledge- Windows, Linux, AIX, AWS EC2
• SQL Server cluster Creation, Configuration and maintenance
• Monitor Performance of all database servers
• Access Management• Space Management• Server Health check reports• Follow database best practices
• Ensure all database servers are backed up so we can meet the business Recovery Time Objective (RTO)
• Troubleshoot SQL Server and Oracle database server• Performance tuning database servers• Migrate/Upgrade/Patching database servers as and when required
• Deploy database change scripts provided as approved• Backup and recovery using Rubirk tool
• Supporting DR and HA solutions• Inventory Management (maintaining OS/server/equipment information managed by the engineers, Server resource detail, allocation, licensing info, end of life details, etc.)
• Documentation of processes• On-call support
