legacy on-prem Ross ERP system running on Oracle 9 to Ross 8.1 hosted in Azure SQL. They need someone to architect and implement a near-real-time replication solution from Azure SQL down to an on-prem Microsoft SQL Server environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Architect and implement Azure SQL to on-prem SQL Server replication
• Target latency is under 5 minutes / as close to real-time as possible
• Set up Azure-to-on-prem connectivity from scratch, such as VPN, ExpressRoute, firewall/NSG configuration
• Identify and replicate the appropriate ERP tables for downstream users
• Assist with converting legacy Oracle queries to T-SQL
• Provide documentation, architecture diagrams, configuration specs, and knowledge transfer
• Work closely with internal DBA and infrastructure/data teams

Required Experience:
• Strong Microsoft SQL Server experience, including on-prem and Azure SQL
• Hands-on SQL replication experience; transactional replication strongly preferred
• Azure-to-on-prem connectivity experience
• Strong T-SQL skills
• Ability to own a greenfield architecture/build independently
• Strong documentation and communication skills

Nice to Have:
• Oracle experience, especially legacy Oracle 9
• Oracle-to-SQL migration/query conversion experience
• Ross/Aptean or ERP database experience
• Cloud-to-on-prem/reverse migration experience
