Urgent Opening Senior Test Automation Engineer – SDET @ Dallas, TX – 12 Months with EXT – Remote Role

Position: SDET

Location: Dallas, TX

Duration: 12 Months with EXT

Must have:

• Experiencing building frameworks within Java
• JBehave, Cucumber
• API/ Web Service testing is required
• Top Skills: Java, AWS, Selenium, Automating Web Services/ API, Rest Assured (expert level)
• Must have strong comm. skills
• This is part of the Aircraft Operations Team

Job Description:

• Understand and maintain Test Automation Frameworks
• Follow the Coding standards and code walk through.
• Maintain Automation Standards and Processes documentation.
• Read and decompose requirements as needed.
• Write automated test scripts under the direction of Test Automation Lead
• Ability to work independently on tasks or modules assigned for testing.
• Ability to execute functional and automation test cases.
• Report the quality of the test object.
• Understanding of automation principals and technique.
• Raise risks on time and provide alternate solutions to mitigate the risk.
• Advice and support for the implementation of all types of tools
• Very strong communication skills to coordinate with project stakeholders.
• Positive attitude to resolve the problems and conflicts.

Required Skills:

• 4 to 8 years of experience in Java Development
• Strong understanding of Core Java and object-oriented design and development.
• Must be strong hands-on with Java coding skills.
• Experience with build tools like Maven, Gradle
• Must have 6 plus years of software QA experience.
• Must have 3 plus years of Test Automation development experience.
• 2 plus years of experience in Test Automation frameworks developing.
• Must be proficient in testing and automating REST APIs and Web Services
• Deployment automation and orchestration with tools such as Jenkins or Gitlab
• Experience with Selenium based tools such as Cypress, Cucumber, WebDriver I/O
• Experience in using Git branching strategy.
• Experience in using AWS Cloud, SonarQube
• Experience with Jenkins CI / CD pipeline
• Awareness of Shell Script, Linux and SQL is good.
• Experience with Jira and Test Management tools such as XRAY
• Excellent trouble shooting, code debugging, root cause analysis skills.
• Work with agile scrum team and be part of in sprint automation team.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
