Title : Senior Database Engineer (Postgres & AWS)

Client : domain – This position is for a fortune 100 company

Location : St. Louis MO Hybrid

Contract : 6 months +

SUMMARY:

We are looking for a Senior Database Engineer (Postgres & AWS) with our client based in St. Louis and wanted to see if you would be open to a new role. This team is in the process of migrating their databases from Oracle to Postgres, hosted on AWS. This person will be responsible for the migration, DevOps for Postgres, and should be experienced with RDS and Aurora

REQUIREMENTS and RESPONSIBILITES:

· Strong understanding of Postgres configuration including vacuuming, user/role permissions and partitioning

· Strong understanding of SQL tuning and optimization of query plans

· Proven knowledge and experience in designing database schemas to align with development and business goals and objectives

· Strong and proactive leadership ability

· Strong communication skills with the ability to transcend the organization with appropriate levels of detail
