Position Overview
- We are looking for an experienced SAP BRIM Functional Consultant with strong hands-on experience across SAP Convergent Invoicing (CI), Subscription Order Management (SOM), and FI-CA. The ideal candidate will have experience working with usage/event data generated by upstream SAP Convergent Mediation (CM) and will be responsible for understanding and ingesting that data, defining the required downstream processing, and supporting the creation and processing of BITs.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as a functional SME across the SAP BRIM landscape, with a focus on CI, SOM, and FI-CA.
- Understand business requirements and translate them into functional BRIM solutions.
- Analyze event data received from SAP Convergent Mediation (CM), including its structure, content, and business meaning, and determine how it should be processed within BRIM.
- Define required mappings and transformations from incoming usage/event data into BITs.
- Ensure appropriate BITs are created from incoming usage/event data and are available for downstream processing.
- Work with technical teams to ingest and validate data received from CM.
- Support the end-to-end flow from CM output → data ingestion → BIT creation → Billing/Invoicing → FI-CA.
- Support FI-CA processes including account determination, postings, invoicing, payments, and receivables.
- Troubleshoot functional issues by tracing data across the BRIM landscape and identifying where processing or data discrepancies occur.
- Work closely with developers and integration teams on data mappings, interfaces, transformations, and BRIM integrations.
- Create functional specifications, mapping documents, and business process documentation.
- Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, and production issue resolution.
- Perform end-to-end reconciliation to ensure that incoming usage data results in the expected charging, billing, and financial postings.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to resolve functional issues and validate expected outcomes.
Must-Have Requirements
- 7+ years of SAP BRIM functional experience / multiple hands-on BRIM projects.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP CI, SOM, and FI-CA.
- Direct, multi-year, hands-on implementation experience with CI, FI-CA, SOM, BITs, and CM data integration.
- Experience working with event data received from SAP Convergent Mediation (CM).
- Experience writing functional specifications and working with technical teams to implement integrations and data transformations.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Experience with subscription products is preferred.
Important: Candidates with primarily other SAP/BRIM experience or only limited/theoretical exposure to these areas will not be considered.
