Role: POWERBI Admin

Location” Phoenix, AZ(Onsite)

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Power BI —

• administration and general support.

• reports development.

• premium capacity administration and monitoring.

• gateway servers administration.

• Security ( Object level and Data Level ) using Ad groups and database tables.

• Assist with building best practice guidelines and governance model.

• Work with different development teams, review power bi reports, find problem causing dashboards/reports/datasets, troubleshoot issues, provide insights and recommendations on best practices and performance improvements.

• Work with office 365 team and Infra teams to implement new features and functionalities in Power BI eco system.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in Data Analysis, Design, Implementation, Administration and Support of Business Intelligence, OLTP (Batch Processing, Online Processing), OLAP, ETL, Data warehousing.

• Experience in administering large scale Power BI Implementations. Proficient knowledge of Power BI eco system (Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Pro, Premium, Apps, Gateways).

• Experience in Tenant Management, Premium Capacity Management and monitoring Power BI premium capacities usage.

• Proficient in the use of Data Analytics Expressions (DAX) .

• Experience in developing Power BI Reports using advanced DAX functions and data visualization design best practices.

• Experience in building Power BI Reports with different visualizations using different source systems Teradata, Snowflake, Oracle Exadata and SharePoint.

• Experience in managing Power BI security ( Dashboards/Reports security, Row level security, Admin level ).

• Experience in finding problem causing reports/datasets, troubleshoot issues, provide insights and recommendations on best practices and performance improvements.

• Experience in Python/Power Shell Scripting.

• Work collaboratively with internal IT teams including developers, project managers, solution architects and business analysts

• Skilful in Extraction Transformation Loading (ETL,ELT) Operations Data Store concepts, Data Marts and OLAP-Online Analytical Processing technologies.

• Proficient knowledge of data warehousing methodologies and concepts, including star schemas, snowflakes schemas, ETL processes, dimensional modeling and reporting tools.

• Proficient in writing complex SQL/PLSQL queries.

• Experience with Azure Cloud Data sources Azure Data Lake Store Gen 2, Snowflake.

• Experience in all facets of Software Development Life Cycle (Analysis, Design, Development, Testing and maintenance) using Waterfall and Agile methodologies.

• Experience in OBIEE and Crystal Report or any other data visualization tools is a huge plus.

Technical Skills:

• Databases: Teradata, Oracle Exadata,DB2.Snowflake,ADLS Gen 2, SQL Server (2005/2008/2008 R2/2012).

• Database Tools: MS-Access, SQL Server Management Studio, Teradata SQL Assistant, SQL Developer.

• Development skills: T-SQL, PL/SQL, SQL PLUS, Power BI, Oracle Business Intelligence(OBIEE 12c).

• Languages: VB.net, Linux, Unix, Python

• ETL Tools: Data Stage

• Tools/Methodologies: MS Project, Agile, Jira, Waterfall.
