Role Overview
An OpenShift Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-grade containerized application environments using Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), a Kubernetes-based platform optimized for production workloads.
Key Responsibilities
Designing scalable, secure, and resilient architectures for containerized applications.
Orchestrating complex microservices using OpenShift’s layered model, which builds on Kubernetes but adds developer tools, image management, and application lifecycle automation
Planning infrastructure (nodes, networking, storage, security) to meet performance, compliance, and availability requirements.
Automating deployments with OpenShift Pipelines, Operators, and Operator Lifecycle Manager (OLM) to streamline CI/CD and service lifecycle management
Ensuring security through built-in RBAC, TLS, and hardened RHEL CoreOS images
Integrating monitoring, logging, and observability to maintain system health and performance
Required Skills
• Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift 4.x or Kubernetes in production.
• Knowledge of LDAP/AD integration and Okta OIDC configuration.
• Experience with Splunk log pipelines and ServiceNow ITSM integration.
• Proficiency in YAML, Helm, and Bash scripting.
• Understanding of container security and image management best practices
