Job Description:

Senior Nutanix Migration Architect (VMware to Nutanix AHV)Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Nutanix Migration Architect to lead our organizations migration from VMware vSphere to Nutanix AHV.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role for an experienced consultant who has successfully delivered multiple VMware-to-Nutanix migrations in enterprise environments.

The successful candidate will act as the primary Nutanix Subject Matter Expert (SME), guiding our infrastructure team through the design, implementation, migration, and operational transition phases.

As the organization currently has limited in-house Nutanix expertise, the candidate must be comfortable mentoring engineers, providing hands-on technical leadership, and transferring knowledge to ensure long-term operational success.

This engagement is expected to last approximately 2-3 months.

 

Mandatory Experience

• 15+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience.

• 5+ years of Nutanix architecture and implementation experience.

• Proven experience leading multiple successful VMware-to-Nutanix AHV migrations in large enterprise environments.

• Demonstrated experience serving as the technical lead and trusted advisor during datacenter transformation initiatives.

• Strong consulting and mentoring background.

• Experience working with infrastructure teams that are new to Nutanix.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership

• Serve as the Nutanix SME and technical authority for the migration program.

• Guide internal engineers through architecture, deployment, migration, and operational support activities.

• Review designs and ensure adherence to Nutanix best practices.

• Provide technical oversight during all project phases.VMware to Nutanix Migration

• Assess current VMware infrastructure.

• Develop migration strategy and execution plan.

• Lead migration workshops and technical planning sessions.

• Design target-state Nutanix architecture.

 

Skills: Nutanix Hyperconverged Infrastructure Experience Required: 8-10
