Job description:

A ServiceNow Business Analyst job description typically involves analyzing, designing, and implementing ServiceNow solutions to meet business and IT requirements. They work closely with stakeholders to understand needs, document processes, and collaborate with the development team to ensure successful implementation and optimization of solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirements Gathering and Analysis:

Gather and analyze business needs, document requirements, and define the scope and functionality of ServiceNow solutions.

• Process Design and Optimization:

Analyze existing processes, identify areas for improvement, and design new workflows within ServiceNow.

• Solution Implementation and Testing:

Collaborate with the development team to implement solutions, conduct testing and validation, and ensure they meet requirements.

• Stakeholder Communication:

Communicate with stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure alignment on project goals.

• Documentation and Training:

Create and maintain documentation, develop training materials, and conduct training sessions for end-users.

• Business Case Development:

Develop business cases and ROI calculations to justify and measure the value of ServiceNow solutions.

• Continuous Improvement:

Proactively identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and optimization within the ServiceNow platform.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Knowledge of ServiceNow: Familiarity with ServiceNow modules, features, and functionalities.

• Business Analysis: Strong analytical skills, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and data analysis.

• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and solve problems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure solutions meet requirements.

• ITSM and SPM Knowledge: Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) and Strategic Project Management (SPM) processes.

Should have experience in CMDB

• Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

• Documentation and Training: Ability to create clear and concise documentation and deliver effective training.
