Logistics Analyst Job Description

Duties/Responsibilities:

•             Works with outsourced logistics providers to initiate and complete international shipments of goods and materials including production materials, drug substances, and drug products.

•             Tracks material flow from origin to delivery via web-based logistics systems as well as other appropriate methods of monitoring and reporting shipment status.

•             Reviews, analyzes and resolves transportation, warehousing, and customs handling issues.

•             Collects, interprets, and analyzes various types of logistics data including reliability of transport and delivery, and other data related to material transportation / distribution.

•             Maintains database of logistics information for metrics reporting.

•             Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

•             Experience with shipping and distribution processes/ Customs.

•             Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

•             Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

•             Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Education and Experience:

•             Minimum Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, or related field.

•             Minimum 3 year experience in the logistics field.
