Roles and responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Linux Systems Administrator to own and optimize our Linux infrastructure supporting mission-critical retail platforms across cloud and on-premise environments.
This role goes beyond traditional administration—you will be responsible for end-to-end lifecycle management, from OS architecture and kernel tuning to automation, performance optimization, and hardware-level troubleshooting. You will play a key role in ensuring system reliability, scalability, and security in a distributed, production-critical environment.
– Deep understanding of the OS
– Perform and Recommend when an upgrade is needed
– Fix any remote hardware issues.
Must-Have Skills
· 7+ years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration
· Strong understanding of Linux internals (processes, memory, filesystems, networking)
· Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, or similar)
· Experience with configuration management and automation tools (Ansible preferred)
· Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, load balancing)
· Experience managing production systems in cloud or hybrid environments
· Kernel-level expertise (boot process, GRUB, kernel tuning/compilation)
· Experience troubleshooting hardware issues in remote environments
· Virtualization platforms (KVM, VMware)
