Job Description (JD)

We are seeking an experienced Kafka Developer with strong expertise in building enterprise-scale event-driven applications and real-time data streaming solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and cloud-native technologies. The role involves designing, developing, and supporting high-throughput, low-latency messaging platforms that enable critical banking applications.

Required Qualifications

• Experience building high-volume, fault-tolerant applications.
• Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.
• Financial services or banking domain experience preferred.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Confluent Kafka Certification.
• Experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Banking, Payments, Lending, or Financial Services experience.

 

Lead Kafka Developer (Additional Expectations)

• Lead architecture and design discussions.
• Define Kafka standards, governance, and best practices.
• Mentor developers and conduct code reviews.
• Drive production issue resolution and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with enterprise architecture and platform teams.
• Work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Configure and manage Kafka topics, partitions, replication, and retention policies.
• Perform performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Kafka environments.
• Work closely with application, infrastructure, DevOps, and business teams.
• Implement security controls, access management, and compliance requirements.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Participate in solution design, code reviews, production support, and architecture discussions.
