We are seeking a GCP Network Engineer to design and deliver secure, scalable networking for onboarded applications across a cloud environment. This role will focus on segmentation, hybrid connectivity, and safe delivery of network changes that support secure enterprise application onboarding.

Role Summary

The ideal candidate will own network design and implementation patterns for GCP-hosted applications, including VPC architecture, shared networking constructs, routing, firewall policies, DNS, ingress/egress design, and hybrid connectivity. The role requires strong Terraform experience to provision and manage network infrastructure safely, with careful attention to blast-radius reduction and staged rollouts.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and operate GCP networking components, including VPCs, Shared VPCs, subnets, routes, firewall policies, and DNS patterns.
• Define ingress and egress architecture, including NAT, load balancing patterns, and private access controls.
• Support hybrid connectivity patterns such as VPN and Interconnect, including routing design and troubleshooting.
• Deliver network changes safely using Terraform modules, change controls, and staged rollout approaches.
• Implement secure segmentation and egress control patterns that reduce risk while enabling application connectivity.
• Troubleshoot network issues using logs, flow data, and systematic triage methods.
• Partner with security, platform, and application teams to ensure network standards are aligned to onboarding requirements.
• Support operational readiness and incident resolution for production networking issues.

 

Required Experience

• 7+ years of experience in network engineering, cloud networking, or platform infrastructure roles.
• Strong GCP networking fundamentals, including routing, segmentation, firewalling, and connectivity design.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform-based network provisioning and infrastructure change management.
• Experience managing change safety and reducing blast radius in cloud network deployments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills using logs, flow records, and structured root-cause analysis.
• Ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
