Requirement Notes (Candidate Job description below) : We need a senior Business Analyst (12+ years) to Partner with front, middle, and back-office stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize business and functional requirements to Translate business needs into user stories, functional specs, and process/data flow diagrams for engineering and vendor teams. Candidates need to have exposure to AI even if it is in personal projects. *****CANDIDATES NEED TO HAVE RECENT CAPITAL MARKETS EXPERIENCE (PREFERED – FRONT MIDDLE AND BACK OFFICE) AND THEY NEED TO BE EXCELLENT COMMUNICATORS. THIS STARTS AS A 4 MONTH PROJECT AND SHOULD GET EXTENDED ANOTHER YEAR. THIS WILL MOVE FAST. THE CLIENT HAD A RESOURCE RESIGNE WITHOUT NOTICE AND THE HAVE A PROJECT TO RUN

Job Description:

• Partner with front, middle, and back-office stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize business and functional requirements
• Translate business needs into user stories, functional specs, and process/data flow diagrams for engineering and vendor teams
• Analyze existing workflows across areas such as portfolio management, trade operations, fund accounting, or investor reporting to identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities
• Evaluate and recommend applications of AI/ML and generative AI tools within existing platforms and business processes
• Support UAT planning and execution, ensuring delivered solutions meet business requirements
• Act as liaison between business units and technology/data teams throughout the SDLC
• Maintain documentation of business rules, data lineage, and system dependencies
• Participate in vendor evaluations and due diligence for new technology or data platforms

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally supporting capital markets, asset management, or financial services technology functions
• Strong requirements-gathering, process mapping, and documentation skills (BRDs, user stories, workflow diagrams)
• Experience working directly with front-office, operations, or finance stakeholders
• Proficiency with SQL and/or data analysis tools
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within private credit, direct lending, or hedge fund environments
• Exposure to portfolio/loan management systems (e.g., WSO, Geneva, Advent, Allvue) or trade/order management platforms
• General understanding of how AI/generative AI tools (e.g., Copilot, LLM-based automation, RPA) can be implemented in a corporate/financial services setting — no deep technical AI background required, but comfort evaluating use cases and vendor tools
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or related field
