Job Description:-

Skills: Strong profiles with Rally as well as Jira experience (Jira coach for Rally to Jira migration)
As a Jira Systems Administrator at Dimension Data, your will be accountable for ensuring the availability, optimal overall performance and usability of the Jira systems. You will provide a service to internal business users, ensuring that the Jira and Confluence services remains both functional and available at all times, through proactively identifying, investigating and resolving technical incidents and problems related to the platforms and applications.

• Provision of end-user coaching, training and support
• Coach the Business user to setup Jira
• Provision of technical assistance and support for queries and issues related to the platform and application
• Responsibility for all administration, maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements to JIRA and Confluence, and integrations with other tools or plugins.
• Administration of JIRA core and software
• Formulating technical solutions using JIRA and associated JIRA plugins.
• Creating JIRA projects, queries, and reports, as needed.
• Creating custom workflows, post functions, making changes to workflows, screens, fields, and reporting, and provide ongoing support and configuration maintenance.
• Completion of plugin audits, all installations and upgrades
• Development of solutions extending Atlassian REST services and JIRA plugins using the Atlassian SDK.
• Development of metrics dashboards and advanced filters in Jira to provide end-users and business leadership with meaningful operational/performance metrics and status reports
• Serving as the JIRA technical resource for migrations to ensure the adoption of development and workflow processes, addressing user questions, and developing training, as needed.
• Actively participate in any assigned tasks and/or projects relating to the technologies and meet agreed timeframes

Qualifications
Here’s what we are looking for in candidates for this job
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Atleast 5 years’ experience as a JIRA Administrator with experience customizing JIRA projects with various schemas, complex workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes required
• Expert level Atlassian tool administration knowledge on JIRA
• Ability to write custom JQL (Jira Query Language), a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting skills on these platforms
• A working knowledge of the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
• Strong SDLC knowledge and experience
• Experience in implementing new services and systems in conjunction with a development team
• Excellent documentation skills, including training guides, system as-is and system maintenance processes and procedures
• Hands-on experience using Jira REST APIs
• Ability to analyse, review, and document current functionality to determine potential areas of improvement
