Job Title: IT Project Manager (OMS)
Location: 6 days/month onsite – Freeport, ME- Locals or nearby only
Pay rate: $60/hr on C2C Max
Visa: USC, GC, EADs, H1B
Need to have Manhattan OMS
We have an immediate need for an IS Project Manager with a focus on Fulfillment and Supply Chain domains. The IS Project Manager works under minimal supervision to plan, direct and coordinate all IT activities within a large, long-term, inter-departmental development and infrastructure project to ensure goals and objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed timeframe and budgetary parameters. This PM will work within a larger program under a Program Manager with responsibilities for all IT activities in support of the program.
This is a hybrid position to facilitate with the team and colleagues in-person at our Fulfillment Operation in Maine at a minimum of 3 days a week.
Responsibilities:
Project Detail and Schedules

- Manages the work of all IT resources including daily alignment with those teams via daily standups.
- Develops an IT project work breakdown structure that encompasses all required IT development and infrastructure tasks.
- Working with the IT project team, develops and manages a project schedule/timeline using approved Project Management tools (Prism PPM, Jira, SharePoint, etc.)
- Develops, monitors, and manages the IT project staffing plan and resource allocations approved by resource managers and the work of those resources.
- Determines Resource Assignments with task estimates (ETC's)
- Use negotiation skills to balance completing work with resources needed to achieve project success.
Communication and Presentation

- Keeps program manager informed of progress to goal; negotiate adjustments to the schedule and resources to ensure overall quality of completed project tasks.
- Functions as central point for all IT project communications, providing updates to program manager for consolidation of program communications.
- Leverages most effective means of communication based on situation/urgency.
- Develops and delivers presentation content to program manager to drive understanding and alignment across Team and Project Sponsors/Stakeholders (Governance structure)
Participates in Project Governance

- Participates, along with the Program Manager and other project PM’s in providing content that will facilitate alignment with sponsor and stakeholder groups that support/influence the Sponsor and Stakeholders.
Vendor Management
·
- Collaborates with applicable project vendor(s) to ensure successful project deliverables.
- Tracks and maintains applicable IT vendor deliverables.
Risk Management
·
- Identifies & analyzes IT project risks to determine highest potential risk exposure and mitigation strategies to avoid and/or manage risk.
- Identifies & focuses resolution of issues and risks using appropriate levels of escalation considering impact to scope, schedule, budget or quality.
- Communicates risk to program manager with a clear understanding of potential risk to the program.
Project Financials

- Participates in determining project financials as it relates to the IT work and communicates to the program manager for full project cost alignment and management.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on project management skills – at least 5 years of experience managing complex IT efforts.
- Management of teams within a larger program with members working in multiple locations.
- Experience structuring work into various workstreams and managing multiple IT workstreams concurrently.
- Strong applied use of PM tools/techniques (planning, risk management, cost control, assessment, develop & management of Jira board, etc.).
- Experience with vendor management.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written), English-language skills, facilitation skills, etc. and ability to represent work at all levels of the organization (up to Executive levels).
- Excellent people skills – developing strong relationships, building a trusting team environment, and ability to listen & translate into actionable plans.
Experience with the following is desired, but not mandatory:
- Cloud Data Platforms in support of Fulfillment and Supply Chain in an omni-channel retail environment.
- Prism PPM, Jira, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Understand business process transformation and change management practices.
