Job Description
A seasoned architect who helps create the technological vision, drives technology strategy and has strong leadership, technical and business acumen. Bring a breadth of experience bringing highly scalable enterprise SaaS applications to market. Provide the overall technical leadership for the development of the product platform. Hands-on leader that will foster and drive collaboration with peer architects, engineering stakeholders, product managers, UX leads and data scientists on the definition and delivery of our highly scalable and secure SaaS solution. Serve as the Architect for products that involve multiple business owners, concurrent work streams, and geographically distributed Agile teams. Provides direction to Software Engineers and Tech Leads but does not have direct managerial responsibilities.
Job Role:
Defining and driving software architecture and enterprise capabilities (scalability, fault tolerance, extensibility, maintainability etc)
Determining overall architectural principles, frameworks and standards
Creating a well thought out architecture strategy and manage the alignment to the product roadmaps
Partnering with business stakeholders and technology leaders to translate program requirements into technical solutions and system design
Driving research, case studies and prototypes on leading edge technologies and how they can be leveraged
Providing hands-on development where appropriate
Designing proof-of-concept pilots and working closely with technical leads to drive successful POC implementations
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
Master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering is a plus
Minimum of 5 + years of architect or tech lead experience with customer-facing, large-scale, web-based applications or consumer facing product
Minimum 5 + years of experience as an application developer implementing web applications/ product
Deep experience with some, if not all, of the following technologies: Java, JavaScript, PHP, Golang, front end tech stack such as Vue, Kubernetes, Docker and containerization in general, relational and NoSQL databases
Experience in developing cloud applications/products extensively on AWS, Azure or GCP. GCP is preferred.
Must have a track record of building and deploying highly available, large scale, high performing multi-tenant SaaS applications
Must have strong knowledge of failure modes, resiliency patterns, and techniques to enable robust, self-healing architecture
Must have experience delivering complex event-driven architectures
Strong knowledge of architectural styles and design patterns. Microservices experience and development of API’s is a plus
