Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Demand Planning professional with a strong data modeling background to support enterprise supply chain planning initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in Demand Planning, Kinaxis RapidResponse, ERP-sourced planning data, and analytical data modeling to enable accurate forecasting, scenario analysis, and decision support. This role is suited for someone who can bridge supply chain planning processes and analytics/data architecture, working closely with business and technical stakeholders in a remote, collaborative environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and enhance Demand Planning processes using Kinaxis RapidResponse
  • Develop and maintain demand forecasting models, scenarios, and exception-based analysis
  • Translate demand planning and supply chain processes into analytical data models (facts & dimensions)
  • Design and maintain data structures supporting forecast accuracy, bias, service levels, and KPIs
  • Integrate and analyze ERP-sourced planning data (Oracle, SAP, or similar)
  • Collaborate with supply chain, IT, and analytics teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency
  • Support S&OP / IBP processes with data-driven insights and reporting
  • Build and optimize dashboards and reports for demand planning stakeholders
  • Identify data gaps, anomalies, and improvement opportunities in planning data

 

Mandatory Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)

Candidates must have all of the following:

  • 8+ years of experience in Supply Chain / Demand Planning
  • Hands-on experience with Kinaxis RapidResponse
  • Experience working with ERP planning data (Oracle, SAP, JDE, etc.)
  • Strong background in data modeling for planning & analytics (fact & dimension models)
  • Solid understanding of demand forecasting concepts and inventory impacts
  • Experience in manufacturing or high-tech supply chain environments
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with analytical datasets
  • Ability to work remotely and collaborate across teams

 

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with S&OP / Integrated Business Planning (IBP)
  • Familiarity with forecast accuracy metrics (MAPE, MAD, Bias)
  • Experience with Snowflake or cloud data platforms
  • Exposure to BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Experience supporting global or multi-site planning organizations

 

NOT A FIT IF THE CANDIDATE IS:

  • You are a pure Kinaxis functional/configuration consultant with no data modeling experience
  • You are a pure data engineer with no supply chain planning background
  • You have only worked in ERP functional roles without analytics or planning exposure
