Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Guidewire configuration, rating implementation, and system integrations within P&C insurance environments. The ideal candidate will have working exposure to Duck Creek policy administration systems and deep understanding of insurance business workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and customize Guidewire applications including PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter.
- Configure rating logic, product models, underwriting rules, workflows, and business rules within Guidewire.
- Develop enhancements using Gosu and Guidewire APIs.
- Build and support integrations between Guidewire/Duck Creek and third-party systems using REST/SOAP services.
- Participate in full SDLC including requirements analysis, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Collaborate with business and insurance stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
- Support performance tuning, troubleshooting, and application optimization.
Mandatory Skills
- 8+ years hands-on Guidewire Development experience.
- Strong experience with PolicyCenter OR BillingCenter OR ClaimCenter.
- Hands-on expertise in Rating configuration (rate books, pricing logic, underwriting/rating rules).
- Strong Gosu programming experience.
- Guidewire configuration and data model customization experience.
- Experience integrating Guidewire/Duck Creek with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs or messaging frameworks.
- Working exposure to Duck Creek Policy, Billing, or Claims modules.
- Strong P&C Insurance domain knowledge.
- SQL/database experience (Oracle or SQL Server).
- Agile/Scrum experience.
- Guidewire Cloud experience.
- Duck Creek Author or OnDemand experience.
- Data migration project exposure.
- CI/CD pipeline experience.
- Guidewire or Duck Creek certifications.
Profiles will be Rejected if:
- No hands-on Guidewire coding (Gosu).
- Functional BA or support-only experience.
- No P&C insurance exposure.
- No configuration/customization experience.
