Job Responsibilities:
•     Work closely with business stakeholders to define and document data requirements.
•     Manage functional parts of the Atlan Data Catalog.
•     Maintain metadata, business glossaries, Soda Quality Rules
•     Enforce data quality rules in Atlan and Soda.
•     Identify, monitor and manage data quality issues
•     Will lead business meetings with stakeholders, come with objectives and leave with actionionable next steps.
•     Frequent cross-collaboration with Data Engineering, Data Architecture and Data Products, and will occasionally be the delegated DG SME in meetings.
Experience:
•     Highly effective communicator that follows up with the data governance team and stakeholders through multiple channels.
•     Will need to be self-driven and motivated as workload will often be 50% individually.
•     3-5 years of data governance experience with a data catalog, master data management, metadata or data quality management.
•     5-7 years as a business analyst, working daily with business stakeholders, leading working sessions, and translating meeting takeaways into JIRA and team requirements.
•     Preferred: 2-3 years of intermediate SQL experience
•     Preferred: Experienced with Data Privacy, Data Policies and Data Compliances regulations.
•     Preferred: Has supported the creation and management of data policies and privacy software.
Technical Data Governance Analyst
Job Responsibilities:
•     Define and maintain data quality rules, lineage, and architecture documentation
•     Manage technical parts of the Atlan Data Catalog.
•     Design technical data flows with governance policies.
•     Enforce and manage Soda Data Observability tool, and technical software updates and future data integrations to Atlan.
•     Partner frequently with Data Engineering, Data Architecture and will occasionally be the delegated DG Technical SME in meetings.
•     Manage and validate that data privacy regulation and rules are applied correctly to data assets (PII, industry standards, IEEE data policies).
•     Establish and manage data access requests, and escalate security concerns, or any changes needed in the approval processes.
•     Preferred: Support future-state metadata data management tools, privacy tools, data observability tools.
•     Preferred: Will lead solutioning, and making recommendations on applying data governance rules and processes to the Data Governance Leader.
Experience:
•     5-7 years of experience in data modeling, modern data lifecycle, metadata management, master data management.
•     Advanced SQL experience, API integration experience preferred.
•     Highly effective communicator that frequently collaborates with other technical teams to produce a comprehensive, governed and scalable solution.
•     Will need to be self-driven and motivated as workload will often be 50% individually.
•     Experience with cloud tools, data governance tools, data observability tools, and project collaboration tools (preferably Redshift, Atlan Data Catalog, Master Data Management tools, Tableau, Soda, JIRA).
•     Preferred: Experience with managing, and automating
