Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our team in Perrysburg, Ohio. The SDET will play a crucial role in integrating automation testing into our Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) pipelines, ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in implementing testing processes and standards, extensive experience with Azure DevOps, and a solid understanding of C# programming for test automation using Selenium or UFT.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement automation testing processes and standards specific to CICD pipelines (GIT, Jenkins, Maven).
Utilize Azure DevOps to manage testing activities, including test planning, test case creation, and test result reporting.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and C# or UFT and C# to ensure efficient and effective test coverage.
Write clean, maintainable, and reusable C# code and demonstrate an ability to read and debug code similar to a developer.
Provide guidance and mentorship to other Software Engineers on testing best practices with a focus on C# and test automation.
Execute both manual and automated tests and analyze test results to identify defects and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with development teams to review requirements and ensure testability of software features.
Implement and maintain unit tests using Nunit or Xunit to ensure code reliability and maintainability.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience working for a customer in a role focused on implementing processes and standards for integrating automation testing into CICD pipelines (GIT, Jenkins, Maven).
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, preferably with at least 5 years of total experience using Azure DevOps.
Proficiency in C# programming with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, demonstrating the ability to read and debug code similar to a developer.
Experience working with Selenium and C# or UFT and C# for test automation.
Familiarity with Nunit or Xunit from a unit test framework perspective.
Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to mentor and coach other Software Engineers on testing best practices, specifically related to C# and test automation.
