Key Responsibilities:
Own the Harness platform as Deluxe's enterprise delivery platform, setting architecture, configuration standards, RBAC and governance, module adoption roadmap, and managing the vendor relationship.
Establish reusable CI pipeline templates, build caching and parallelization standards to keep build times within targets.
Define deployment strategies such as progressive, canary and blue-green, implement GitOps workflows, promotion paths, approval gates and change-control evidence required for regulated payment workloads. Orchestrate SAST, DAST, SCA, container and secrets scanning across pipelines, set severity thresholds, exemption workflows and remediation SLAs. Define engineering metrics (DORA, flow, lead time, review latency) and guardrails for their use. Deliver cloud cost visibility, budgets, anomaly detection, non-production autostopping, showback/chargeback to product lines.
Set policy-as-code standards so pipeline governance is versioned, reviewable and auditable.
Own the SDLC toolchain—source control, issue tracking, artifact management, static analysis, test infrastructure—covering integration architecture, entitlement and license management, upgrades and migration planning. Define documented golden paths from commit to production.
Establish how AI tooling is used in design, code generation, testing and documentation, including governance and controls.
Required qualifications:
10+ years in software, solution or platform engineering with senior architecture leadership on distributed, high-availability systems.
Experience in payments, fintech or other regulated transaction-processing domains.
Proven ownership of an enterprise CI/CD platform (Harness, GitLab, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions with Argo/Spinnaker, or large-scale Jenkins).
Experience integrating security scanning into delivery pipelines and setting policy gates accepted by engineering teams.
Working command of engineering delivery metrics (e.g., DORA) and their limitations.
Depth in REST, asynchronous messaging and event-driven architecture.
Cloud-native architecture and production Kubernetes experience. • Ability to influence technical direction across teams and communicate trade-offs to executives.
