Data Warehouse Jobs
Client: The Port of Vancouver
Location: Vancouver, Washington (Hybrid Onsite)
Requirements
- Current experience building data warehouses connecting multiple SQL databases and cloud-based databases.
- Experience building a SQL data warehouse using various tools such as Solver.
- Follow Port’s Information Security Policies and industry best practices on secure design.
- Provide the port with complete documentation.
- Proven experience using best of practices guidelines,
- The port will provide VPN access to our Virtual SQL Servers and storage for configuring the warehouse
- After warehouse is built, assist in policy or procedures as to managing it and using it.
- Virtual meetings with the various software providers will be necessary in order determine and database scheme of each database.
- Assist port’s Report Analysis with creation of reports such as:
o Tableau/Power BI reports
o SSIS packages
o Dashboards in SharePoint
- Must be proficient in writing code for SQL and cloud databases, and experience with Tableau, Power BI, SSRS, Crystal Reports, or any other report writing tool.
- Create queries to extract data from data bases that can flow into Tableau/Power BI.
- Create and execute jobs for applicable files to be converted to a .CSV file that can be easily imported into the data warehouse.
- Pulling documents from SharePoint.
- Finalist with interviews will receive list of programs/software port utilizes and will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
