Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Product Consultant to design, develop, and optimize data products that drive business value in a complex enterprise environment. The role focuses on building reusable, high-quality, governed data assets and products by leveraging modern data platforms.
You will act as a bridge between business stakeholders (especially Finance & Accounting) and technical teams, translating requirements into scalable data solutions while ensuring data quality, consistency, and accessibility.
This is a hands-on consulting role involving architecture, implementation advisory, governance, and adoption of data products in a hybrid SAP + modern cloud data stack.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Product Development & Lifecycle Management
- Identify business use cases and design end-to-end data products (datasets, APIs, dashboards, ML-ready features) that deliver measurable value.
- Define data product roadmaps, backlogs, and success metrics in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.
- Manage the full lifecycle of data products — from discovery and design to deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
- Data Architecture & Integration
- Architect and advise on data pipelines integrating SAP (Financial Accounting) data with modern platforms.
- Design and implement integration patterns between SAP Data Sphere (upcoming), Snowflake, and AWS services.
- Leverage Informatica MDM for master data management, golden record creation, and data harmonization across finance and other domains.
- Build or optimize ETL/ELT processes using Informatica tools and Snowflake capabilities (Snowpipe, tasks, streams, etc.).
- Platform Implementation & Optimization
- Work with AWS services (S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift Spectrum, etc.) as the foundational cloud layer.
- Utilize Snowflake for data warehousing, modeling (dimensional/star schema), performance tuning, and cost optimization.
- Support the implementation and integration of SAP Data Sphere for semantic modeling and federation with Snowflake.
- Configure and extend Axiom for data monitoring, observability, or analytics as per existing setup.
- Data Governance & Quality
- Implement data governance frameworks, including data quality rules, lineage, cataloging, and access controls.
- Ensure compliance, security, and privacy standards (especially for financial data).
- Drive master data governance initiatives using Informatica MDM.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Adoption
- Work closely with Finance, Accounting, and other business teams to understand requirements and deliver self-service data products.
- Provide training, documentation, and enablement to promote data product adoption.
- Act as a consultant to recommend best practices for data mesh, domain-oriented data ownership, or centralized data platform strategies.
