Position: Data Governance Lead

Location: Phoenix, AZ ( Need only local candidate)

Duration: 8+ months

Pay Rate: $52/hr on C2C

 

Description:

 

Role Description:

 

“Lead the implementation and adoption of enterprise metadata management capabilities.

Define and maintain business, technical, and operational metadata standards.

Drive onboarding of critical data assets into the enterprise data catalog.

Establish governance processes for metadata stewardship, ownership, and lifecycle management.

Ensure metadata is accurate, current, and aligned to business processes.

 

Data Lineage & Traceability

Develop and maintain end-to-end data lineage across source systems, data platforms, analytical environments, and reporting layers.

Collaborate with engineering teams to automate lineage capture and visualization.

Support regulatory, audit, and risk management requirements through transparent data traceability.

Identify critical data elements and establish lineage frameworks for key business domains.

 

Data Governance Leadership

Define governance policies, standards, controls, and operating models.

Partner with Data Owners, Data Stewards, Architects, and Engineering teams to drive governance adoption.

Lead data governance councils and working sessions with business and technology leaders.

Establish governance KPIs, scorecards, and compliance reporting.”
