Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP IS-U Billing Functional Consultant with deep expertise in SAP IS-U Billing, SAP EDM (Energy Data Management), RTP interfaces, and complex utility billing processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience in utility Meter-to-Cash (M2C) operations, billing configuration, rate design, and troubleshooting complex billing scenarios within utility industry environments.
This role requires strong functional consulting capabilities, utility domain expertise, and experience supporting enterprise SAP IS-U implementations, enhancements, and testing activities in Agile/Scrum environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and support SAP IS-U Billing solutions for utility industry clients.
- Design and configure:
- Rate Categories
- Billing Schemas
- Demand Charges
- Rider Logic
- TOU (Time of Use) Billing
- RTP (Real-Time Pricing) Billing Structures
- Support complex utility billing processes and Meter-to-Cash (M2C) operations.
- Work extensively with SAP EDM (Energy Data Management) for interval meter data processing.
- Integrate and support RTP interfaces and utility data exchange processes.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable SAP IS-U functional solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex billing defects and production support issues.
- Support:
- Functional Unit Testing (FUT)
- System Integration Testing (SIT)
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Collaborate with technical teams, business users, testing teams, and stakeholders.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
- Prepare functional specifications, configuration documentation, and process flows.
- Ensure compliance with utility billing standards and SAP best practices.

Mandatory Skills
SAP IS-U Billing
- 8+ years of hands-on SAP IS-U Billing configuration experience.

- 5+ years of experience with:

- 5+ years of utility industry Meter-to-Cash (M2C) experience.
- Deep understanding of:

- Strong hands-on SAP IS-U configuration experience.
- Experience supporting:
- FUT Testing

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Utilities Management, or related field preferred.
