Java Developer with Calypso Experience

Location: Charlotte, NC (3 Days Hybrid in a Week)

Visa: Only H1b, H4ead or Gcead (Must be ready to share passport number)

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Backend Java Developers with Calypso experience to join our team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java-based backend development along with hands-on experience working on the Calypso trading platform within Capital Markets or Financial Services environments.

The candidate should be comfortable working on enterprise-level applications, integrations, trade processing workflows, and supporting scalable backend systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring technologies
• Work extensively on the Calypso platform including customization, integration, and support activities
• Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices
• Collaborate with business analysts, traders, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and implement solutions
• Support trade lifecycle management, risk processing, and financial messaging workflows
• Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of applications
• Participate in code reviews and follow best engineering practices
• Work within Agile/Scrum development environments

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Java Backend Development
• Expertise in:
  • Java 8/11/17
  • Spring Boot
  • REST APIs
  • Microservices
  • Multithreading
  • SQL/Oracle
• Hands-on experience working with the Calypso Application/Platform
• Good understanding of Capital Markets or Investment Banking domain
• Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka, MQ, or JMS is a plus
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and Git-based version control
