About the role and what you'll be doing:

The IAM Analyst is responsible for managing user access across enterprise platforms and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. This role is central to executing user access audits, maintaining certifications, and supporting audit evidence collection.

Key Responsibilities
Administer and manage user access for applications including mainframe, Unix, IBM iSeries, and distributed platforms.
Vet access rights prior to granting access, following established security and compliance protocols.
Unlock or reset passwords and support day-to-day operational access needs.
Maintain certifications required for system access and ensure renewal for continued compliance.
Document access management activities for internal and external audits.
Participate in incident response and troubleshooting related to access issues.
Ensure all activities meet regulatory standards such as SOX, HIPAA, FIPS 140-2.

Audit-Specific Duties
Conduct periodic access reviews (quarterly/annually) to ensure compliance with standards like SOC, ISO, IRS Pub 1075.
Coordinate manual reviews when automation is not feasible (e.g., Linux systems not integrated with Okta).
Use tools like SecurEnds, Okta Identity Governance (OIG), and Active Directory to manage and monitor access
Review administrative, service, and user accounts separately to ensure thorough audit coverage.
Ensure audits are completed within the standard 14-day timeframe unless deviations are approved.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Required Skills
Identity Management (IdM), Identity and Access Management (IAM) experience as an analyst or engineer, i.e., supporting Okta, IdentityIQ, IdentityNow, Savyint, CyberArk, etc.
Okta use/experience
Active Directory use/experience/management
Ability to work independently with little day to day supervision; self-starter
Must be a team player
Effective communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
BS degree in an Information Technology major
Intermediate competency in the following
Identity management
LDAP
Active Directory
Okta
ServiceNow
MS Office, O365 (Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerBI, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Word, Visio)
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to analyze data and information with a detailed understanding of regulatory requirements as well as security frameworks and methodologies
Meticulous attention to detail
Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and conceptual skills
Ability to work comfortably under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines
Ability to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, integrity, and personal accountability when working with sensitive and restricted data
Critical thinking

Knowledge and experience with Identity and Access automation a plus
