C2C Role: Azure Data Engineer with Airline Industry Fort Worth, TX (Onsite)

Laptop needed: Macbook Open to H1B candidate Interview is 1 virtual, 1 onsite

Will be working on co-brand data enhancements for the old platform.

• Work closely with source data application teams and product owners to design, implement and support analytics solutions that provide insights to make better decisions
• Implement data migration and data engineering solutions using Azure products and services: (Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Event Hub, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Databricks, etc.) and traditional data warehouse tools
• Perform multiple aspects involved in the development lifecycle – design, cloud engineering (Infrastructure, network, security, and administration), ingestion, preparation, data modeling, testing, CICD pipelines, performance tuning, deployments, consumption, BI, alerting, prod support
• Provide technical leadership and collaborate within a team environment as well as work independently
• Be a part of a DevOps team that completely owns and supports their product
• Implement batch and streaming data pipelines using cloud technologies
• Leads development of coding standards, best practices and privacy and security guidelines
• Mentors' others on technical and domain skills to create multi-functional teams
 

Minimum Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience
⦁       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
⦁       5-7+ years of data analytics experience using SQL and working with data platforms like Teradata, Cassandra, MongoDB, Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, ADLS, and Azure Data Explorer.
⦁       5+ years of cloud development and data lake experience, primarily in Microsoft Azure (EventHub, Data Factory, Databricks, Blob Storage, Power BI, Azure Functions, etc.).
⦁       5+ years data analytics experience using SQL
⦁       3+ years full-stack development experience, preferably in Azure
⦁       3+ years of cloud development and data lake experience (prefer Microsoft Azure) including Azure EventHub, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, ADX, ASA, Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, Azure Power Apps and Power BI
⦁       Airline Industry Experience


Day-to-day responsibilities:
⦁       Support the implementation and ongoing enhancement of the new email marketing solution
⦁       Develop and maintain integrations between the new platform and other systems (Mosaic, Customer Hub , Seats, Web Platforms, SessonM, etc.)
⦁       Implement data migration and engineering solutions using Azure products and services: (Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Event Hub, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Databricks, etc.) and traditional data warehouse tools
⦁       Develop reusable scripts, APIs, and services to support data integration and marketing workflows.
⦁       Design, build and maintain data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load customer and campaign data into the new email platform. Proficient in using Snowflake and other data sharing tools
⦁       Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data feeds, campaign execution, automation, and system performance.
⦁       Ensure data quality, consistency, and timeliness for email marketing use cases (segmentation, personalization, automation).
⦁       Implement validation, monitoring, and error-handling processes for inbound and outbound data flows.
⦁       Support identity resolution, preference management, and suppression logic across data sources.
⦁       Partner with the CRM Marketing teams to translate campaign and segmentation requirements into technical solutions.
⦁       Maintain technical documentation for data models, integrations, and processes.
⦁       Ensure integrations and data handling comply with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, internal policies).
⦁       Support user access controls, auditability, and data governance standards.
 
Team environment and structure:
⦁       This team works closely with the Email Marketing team (CRM analysts) responsible for delivering all promotional emails for American Airlines. They design and implement the data models, and data feeds needed to support the emails as well as other Marketing channels
⦁       The team is made up of a blend of Sr and mid level engineers.
