Role: SAP Technical Program Manager
Location: San Francisco Bay Area / Hybrid (3 days onsite)
Engagement: 12 months with extension likely
Role Overview:
We are seeking a senior Technical Program Manager to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives spanning enterprise systems landscape — primarily SAP S/4HANA and Salesforce ecosystems. This role sits at the intersection of business operations, engineering, and architecture, and requires equal fluency in technical depth and executive-level program leadership. You will own delivery of high-visibility programs touching Quote-to-Cash, Lead-to-Order, Finance transformation, and customer data integration.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead end-to-end delivery of multi-track enterprise programs involving SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, and Revenue Cloud, including planning, resourcing, milestone tracking, and risk management.
· Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Product, Engineering, and Business Operations leaders to translate strategic objectives into executable technical roadmaps with clear deliverables and success metrics.
· Drive integration design discussions across SAP, Salesforce, and adjacent platforms (Workday, NetSuite, Coupa, data lake / Snowflake). Make trade-off decisions on build vs. buy, custom vs. configured, and synchronous vs. event-driven patterns.
· Build and maintain program-level financial models — capex/opex tracking, vendor burn rates, and ROI realization against business cases
Required Qualifications
· 10+ years of program/project management in enterprise software environments, with at least 5 years specifically managing SAP and/or Salesforce implementations or large-scale enhancements.
· Demonstrated technical depth — able to read solution design documents, challenge architects on integration patterns, review API specs, and understand data models without translation. This is not a pure delivery PM role.
· Hands-on understanding of at least two of the following: SAP S/4HANA (Finance, OTC, or P2P modules), SAP BTP / CPI, Salesforce Sales Cloud, Salesforce CPQ, Salesforce Revenue Cloud, MuleSoft / Boomi / Workato.
· Proven track record managing programs with $5M+ budgets, 30+ contributors across geographies, and direct executive (VP/SVP) stakeholder exposure.
· Strong command of program management frameworks (SAFe, hybrid Agile/Waterfall) and delivery tooling (Jira, Smartsheet, Confluence, Monday.com).
· Exceptional written and verbal communication. Ability to produce executive-grade decks, run steerco meetings, and write crisp status narratives.
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience at SaaS / software companies undergoing subscription model transformation or revenue recognition (ASC 606) initiatives.
· PMP, SAFe Agilist, Salesforce Admin/Advanced Admin, or SAP Activate certifications.
· Experience with M&A integration programs touching ERP/CRM consolidation.
· Background in software engineering or solution architecture before transitioning to program management.
