Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled ETL Lead / BODS Developer with strong expertise in Business Objects Data Services (BODS) and data warehousing technologies. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end ETL development, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure high-quality data integration and transformation across enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver end-to-end ETL development using BODS
- Collaborate with business users, product owners, and stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into scalable ETL solutions
- Analyze, enhance, and optimize existing ETL processes for improved performance and reliability
- Troubleshoot and debug ETL jobs to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Design and implement efficient data models and transformation logic
- Work extensively with Oracle and SQL Server databases for querying, tuning, and performance optimization
- Develop and maintain Unix/Shell scripts for ETL automation and batch processing
- Ensure adherence to data governance, validation, and quality standards
- Coordinate with data warehouse and downstream teams for seamless data integration
- Document ETL processes, technical specifications, and workflows
- Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and enhancements
- Act as an ETL Lead / Scrum Master, ensuring Agile best practices and timely delivery
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Business Objects Data Services (BODS)
- Expertise in ETL architecture, design, development, and optimization
- Strong proficiency in SQL with experience in Oracle and SQL Server
- Solid understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and Data Modeling
- Experience in data integration, migration, and transformation
- Hands-on experience in Unix / Shell scripting
- Strong knowledge of data quality, validation, and governance practices
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication skills to interact with both technical and business stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Informatica PowerCenter
- Exposure to data profiling tools
- Prior experience in ETL leadership or Scrum Master roles
