Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced DBT Architect to lead the architecture design and governance of a SnapLogic to DBT migration on Google BigQuery. This role will act as the primary client interface, ensuring alignment with business goals and successful delivery of scalable, high-performance data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture Strategy

• Define end-to-end data architecture for SnapLogic to DBT migration
• Establish DBT modeling standards (staging, intermediate, marts)
• Design scalable and cost-optimized solutions on Google BigQuery
• Define migration roadmap, rollout strategy, and execution plan

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary onshore contact for stakeholders
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Lead workshops, architecture discussions, and design reviews
• Provide regular status updates, risk assessments, and mitigation plans

Delivery Oversight

• Manage offshore teams across DBT Engineering, Testing, and BI
• Review and approve architecture, design, and deliverables
• Ensure adherence to timelines, quality standards, and best practices

Migration & Modernization

• Lead ETL assessment and transformation using DBT
• Drive automation initiatives (Vega framework or similar)
• Ensure data validation, reconciliation, and accuracy
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices

Governance & Best Practices

• Define data quality, governance, and compliance standards
• Establish naming conventions and coding standards
• Ensure adherence to enterprise security policies

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Architecture
• Strong expertise in DBT (Core / Cloud)
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and data modeling
• Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery
• Experience in large-scale data migration programs
• Strong experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines
• Proven experience in stakeholder management and leadership
• Experience managing onshore/offshore delivery models

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with SnapLogic
• Knowledge of Vega or similar automation frameworks
• Familiarity with data governance tools
• Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
• Python scripting experience
