Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Azure Application Architect to support application discovery, assessment, and migration readiness for workloads transitioning to Microsoft Azure. The role involves evaluating application architecture, integrations, and data flows to define optimal migration strategies and ensure alignment with Azure best practices and frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead application discovery and assessment workshops with business and technical stakeholders
- Analyze current application architecture, dependencies, integrations, and data flows
- Assess existing Azure environments and identify migration readiness
- Define migration strategies using the 6Rs approach (Rehost, Refactor, Rearchitect, Rebuild, Replace, Retire)
- Develop migration plans, wave strategies, and effort estimations
- Create dependency maps, architecture diagrams, and assessment reports
- Identify risks, assumptions, and constraints for each workload migration
- Support cutover planning and migration execution strategies
- Collaborate with Azure Platform Architects and cross-functional teams
- Maintain documentation in tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint
Required Technical Skills
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure services
- Hands-on expertise in Azure Migrate (discovery, dependency analysis, assessments)
- Experience with:
- Azure Site Recovery (ASR)
- Azure Database Migration Service (DMS)
- AzCopy and storage migration patterns
- Knowledge of:
- Azure Resource Graph for inventory and reporting
- Azure Monitor & Application Insights
- Azure Arc
Application & Integration Expertise
- Experience analyzing enterprise application architectures and integrations
- Proficiency in telemetry and monitoring tools such as Log Analytics and KQL
- Experience with:
- App Service, Azure Functions, Logic Apps
- API Management
- Service Bus / Event Grid
- Azure Storage & Azure SQL / Managed Instance
- AKS (Kubernetes) & Virtual Machines
- Azure Key Vault
Scripting & Automation
- Hands-on scripting experience with:
- PowerShell

- Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics (Dynamics 365 or legacy Dynamics)
- Hands-on experience migrating Dynamics workloads including:

- Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF)
- Azure Well-Architected Framework
