Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Networking Specialist with deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) networking services and enterprise infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and optimizing scalable cloud networking solutions that support cloud environments, hybrid connectivity, and modern application architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement GCP network architectures, including VPCs, subnets, routing, firewall rules, and network segmentation.
- Configure and manage Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud DNS, Cloud NAT, Cloud VPN, and Dedicated/Partner Interconnect.
- Design and support secure hybrid connectivity between on-premises data centers and Google Cloud environments.
- Troubleshoot complex networking issues involving TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, routing protocols, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Support Kubernetes (GKE) networking, including ingress/egress, network policies, service mesh, and container networking.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
- Implement network security controls, IAM, RBAC, firewall policies, and compliance standards.
- Partner with Cloud Architects, DevOps, SRE, Security, and Application teams to deliver secure and scalable networking solutions.
- Monitor, optimize, and improve network performance, reliability, availability, and cost efficiency.
- Develop and maintain network architecture documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in networking and cloud infrastructure.
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) networking services.
- Expertise in:
- VPC Design & Architecture
- Cloud DNS
- Cloud Load Balancing
- Cloud NAT
- Cloud VPN & Interconnect
- Firewall Rules & Security Policies
- Routing & Network Segmentation
- Hybrid Cloud Connectivity
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes (GKE) networking concepts.
- Solid knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with network monitoring and observability tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer Certification.
- Google Professional Cloud Architect Certification.
- Experience with enterprise networking technologies such as Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet, or Cloudflare.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud migration initiatives.
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
Nice to Have
- Experience with GKE, Istio/Service Mesh, and container networking.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust and cloud security architectures.
- Experience supporting AI/ML networking, including Vertex AI and GPU-based infrastructure.
- Multi-cloud networking experience across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
