Azure Technical Project Manager – Financial Services & Business Analysis

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Azure Technical Project Manager with strong Business Analyst, requirements gathering, financial services, and cloud project management experience to lead enterprise technology and digital transformation initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong combination of technical project management, business analysis, requirements elicitation, Microsoft Azure, financial domain experience, stakeholder management, and Agile methodologies. Exposure to SAP and SAP-to-Azure integrations is a plus but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end technical projects involving Microsoft Azure, cloud migration, application modernization, data, integration, and enterprise technology transformation.
- Work closely with Finance, Accounting, Risk, Compliance, and business stakeholders to understand business objectives and requirements.
- Conduct requirements gathering workshops, stakeholder interviews, discovery sessions, and business process analysis.
- Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical requirements for engineering and development teams.
- Create and maintain BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, process flows, acceptance criteria, and requirements traceability matrices.
- Analyze existing financial business processes and identify opportunities for automation, modernization, integration, and process improvement.
- Collaborate with Azure Architects, Developers, DevOps, Infrastructure, Security, Data, QA, and Business teams.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, dependencies, risks, and resource requirements.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, and resources.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Develop project plans, roadmaps, RAID logs, status reports, dashboards, and executive presentations.
- Coordinate UAT, System Integration Testing, deployment, production readiness, and post-production activities.
- Manage communication between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with vendors, system integrators, and third-party implementation partners.
- Ensure projects meet defined scope, schedule, budget, quality, security, compliance, and business requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in Technical Project Management, IT Project Management, or Program Management.
- Strong experience managing projects involving Microsoft Azure / Cloud technologies.
- Strong Business Analyst experience, including requirements gathering and business process analysis.
- Hands-on experience conducting requirements elicitation, stakeholder interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions.
- Experience translating business requirements into functional and technical requirements.
- Financial Services / Banking / Insurance / Finance domain experience.
- Experience working with financial applications, financial data, reporting, ERP, accounting, or enterprise finance systems.
- Experience working with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Risk, Compliance, or Corporate Finance stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of Azure cloud concepts and enterprise cloud architecture.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong documentation experience with BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and RTMs.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Experience managing project risks, issues, dependencies, timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
Financial Domain Experience
Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly preferred:

Nice to Have – SAP Experience
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, or SAP FICO.
- Experience working with SAP functional or technical teams.
- Understanding of SAP business processes and enterprise integrations.
- Exposure to SAP BTP or SAP Integration Suite.
- Experience with SAP-to-Azure integrations or cloud modernization initiatives.
- SAP certification is a plus but not required.
SAP experience is Nice to Have and should not be considered a mandatory requirement for this position.
