AS400 Developer
Location: US~Indiana~Fort Wayne
Candidate should be ready to relocate and willing to go office from day one.
Long Term Project – client is looking for a candidate who is willing to stay in the project for one Year.

Looking for Software Developer to perform application support and development tasks for one of our insurance clients.
The candidate is required to possess and excel in the following technical, process and behavioral skills.

Technical Skills:
• Support multiple AS400 Job applications and interface to front end applications over JMS
• Provide improvised permanent solution for reoccurring problems
• Design and develop reports using RPG program and DB2 queries
• Handle different types of AS400 batch job errors.
• Willing to take up on call during non-business hours – rotational basis
• Ensure full compliance with quality standards in preparing documents and coding
• Use RPG/400, RPGLE, SQLRPGLE, CL/400, CLLE, DB2/400, OS400, AS400 Debugger, IFS, JMS (support), TURNOVER, ROBOT, iseries navigator.
• Work on enhancements and new developments
• Knowledge on Java, Tibco, Oracle is an added advantage.
Process Skills:
• Log and track defects in the defect tracking database
• Prepare design specification and technical specification documents
• Develop test cases and capture test results in a standardized format
• Perform reviews in each phase of development
• Perform peer reviews and document test results
• Solve incident cases within the stipulated timeframe
• Document incident cases for future reference
• Perform root cause analysis for new incidents
Behavioral Skills:
• A self-starter in taking up tasks.
• Good communication skills required for communication with client and end user as needed
• Demonstrates and adopts to the positive work culture.
• Interact and be flexible in work timings to interact with team members in offshore locations.
Certification:
• None required.
• RPG/400 – Preferred
• DB2/400 – Preferred
