Data Engineer with strong expertise in MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server to support database migration projects. The candidate will be responsible for migrating databases, tables, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and large volumes of data from MySQL to SQL Server.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in SQL development, database migration, data transformation, performance optimization, data validation, and troubleshooting.
Database Migration
Analyze existing MySQL database architecture, schemas, tables, indexes, and relationships.
Migrate database objects from MySQL to Microsoft SQL Server.
Convert MySQL data types into equivalent SQL Server data types.
Migrate tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and constraints.
Handle schema conversion and database compatibility issues.
Perform source-to-target database mapping.
SQL Development
Write complex SQL queries, joins, subqueries, CTEs, and window functions.
Develop and optimize SQL Server stored procedures and functions.
Convert MySQL SQL queries into SQL Server-compatible queries.
Handle differences in SQL syntax and built-in functions.
Work with temporary tables, indexing, and transactions.
