Position: Lead API Developer
Location: Remote
Duration: Long Term Contract Position
Job Details:
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full-stack applications and RESTful APIs.
Lead technical design discussions and translate product needs into practical engineering solutions.
Apply REST best practices, including clear resource modeling, versioning, status codes, error handling, security, and observability.
Troubleshoot complex issues across the HTTP stack, DNS, TLS certificates, authentication, and network/API boundaries.
Contribute to code reviews, engineering standards, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
Collaborate effectively with developers, architects, product partners, and other stakeholders in a remote environment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Strong senior-level software engineering background with demonstrated full-stack delivery experience.
Front-end expertise with React, Vite, or Vue, plus API development using Node.js, Java, or .NET.
Practical knowledge of API gateways and API lifecycle management.
Deep understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, TLS certificates, and OAuth.
Ability to clearly explain and apply REST API design best practices.
Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms, with the ability to reason through trade-offs and explain solutions.
Highly motivated team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
