Role : Senior Test Engineer

Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Test Engineer to support qualification testing for military and commercial aerospace programs, focusing on electro-mechanical actuators and electronic controls.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical + electrical test engineering experience, hands-on MIL-STD-810 qualification testing, and significant experience developing, qualifying, and managing automated test rigs and external test vendors/labs.
Key Responsibilities
Create, execute, and report on Test Plans and Test Procedures.
Develop verification and validation programs based on customer requirements.
Design, specify, build, and qualify test fixtures, automated test rigs, and equipment.
Develop SOWs for external test equipment and qualification testing services.
Manage suppliers through test equipment design, build, qualification, and production transition.
Coordinate environmental, mechanical, thermal, vibration, and EMI/EMC testing with external laboratories.
Prepare qualification test reports, failure reports, and resolution documentation.
Develop and maintain test and diagnostic software.
Troubleshoot testing equipment, sensors, and electro-mechanical systems.
Support production test equipment and procedures.
Work with Project Engineers, Design Engineers, Test Technicians, Program Managers, and suppliers.
Travel to external testing facilities as required, typically 10% and up to 50% during peak testing.
Required Skills
7+ years of Test Engineering experience; 8β10 years preferred.
Bachelorβs degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Strong mechanical and electrical/electro-mechanical test engineering experience.
MUST HAVE: MIL-STD-810 environmental qualification testing.
Hands-on experience creating and executing qualification test plans/procedures.
Experience writing qualification test reports based on test results.
Strong experience specifying, building, and qualifying automated test rigs.
Test rig development and external vendor/supplier management β MUST HAVE.
Experience developing and managing Statements of Work (SOWs).
Experience working with external environmental and EMI testing facilities.
Experience with sensors such as load cells, torque cells, resolvers, and encoders.
Ability to translate customer requirements into detailed test plans and schedules.
