Note: This role is ideal for Hands on Quality Engineering professionals who can build robust automation solutions and help drive quality across modern web and API based applications.

Two days per week onsite.

 

 

Job Summary

Seeking a highly motivated Senior Quality Engineer with strong expertise in Core Java, Rest Assured, and Selenium to drive quality engineering and test automation initiatives across enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing

scalable automation frameworks, validating APIs and web applications, and ensuring high-quality software delivery in Agile environments. This role requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for automation and continuous improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities

·       Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Core Java, Selenium, and industry-standard automation tools.

·       Develop and execute automated API test suites using Rest Assured and validate RESTful microservices.

·       Create and maintain functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test automation suites.

·       Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and develop comprehensive test strategies.

·       Execute test plans, analyze test results, identify defects, and drive resolution through closure.

· Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and faster releases.

·       Perform database validation and backend testing using SQL queries.

·       Participate in sprint planning, story grooming, defect triage, and release readiness activities.

·       Mentor junior team members and promote automation best practices across teams.

Required Qualifications

·       Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

·       7+ years of experience in Software Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or SDET roles.

·       Strong programming experience in Core Java, including OOP concepts, Collections, Exception Handling, and Design Patterns.

·       Hands-on experience with Rest Assured for API automation testing.

·       Strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver for web UI automation.

·       Experience with TestNG/JUnit frameworks.

·       Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and microservices architectures.

·       Experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.

· Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

·       Experience testing cloud-native and microservices-based applications.

·       Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.

·       Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, or Azure/AWS platforms.

·       Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
