Job Overview

• The agency is seeking a Mid to Senior Level BI/Tableau Administrator to support business-critical reporting and analytics platforms. The candidate will be responsible for platform administration, incident management, troubleshooting, user support, monitoring, and ensuring the reliability and performance of enterprise reporting solutions.
• The selected candidate must be able to work onsite one day per week and attend at least one in-person interview.

Key Responsibilities

Tableau Administration & Support

• Administer Tableau Cloud sites, projects, users, groups, permissions, and security.
• Manage Dev, Test, and Production environments.
• Monitor platform health, extract refreshes, subscriptions, and scheduled jobs.
• Troubleshoot Tableau performance, connectivity, and reporting issues.
• Support report developers, analysts, and business users.
• Deploy and promote reports across different environments.

Azure SQL Database Support

• Support and troubleshoot Azure SQL Database environments used for enterprise reporting.
• Investigate reporting data issues and perform data validation activities.
• Monitor database connectivity, query performance, and data refresh processes.
• Assist with SQL/SOQL troubleshooting and performance optimization.

Data Integration & Pipeline Support

• Monitor and support Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines loading Salesforce and other source-system data into Azure SQL Database.
• Troubleshoot data load failures and data quality issues.
• Assist in identifying root causes of integration and reporting issues.
• Collaborate with development and integration teams during incident resolution and deployments.

MuleSoft Support

• Support MuleSoft Runtime Fabric (RTF) environments and integrations impacting reporting platforms.

 

Required Skills & Experience

• The ideal candidate should possess 5+ years of professional experience and demonstrate strong technical expertise, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities.

 

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Tableau Cloud Administration and Support.
• Experience supporting enterprise reporting and analytics platforms.
• Strong SQL skills with experience working with Azure SQL Database or similar relational databases.
• Experience with Salesforce objects, fields, relationships, and platform best practices.
• Experience with user management, including:
• New user setup
• User deactivation
• Roles and profiles
• Permission sets
• Sharing rules
• Other administrative tasks
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience handling user access, declarative logic, environment management, and backup solutions.
• Comfortable engaging and escalating issues with Salesforce Support.
• Highly organized, proactive, and self-directed.
• Self-starter with the ability to drive work from requirements through implementation.
• Strong abstract thinking and critical problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working across all phases of the SDLC.
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation.
• Experience collaborating with Salesforce Architects to establish best practices.
• Ability to provide input on architecture, design decisions, estimation, and resource planning.
• Experience mentoring and training team members.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Experience with MuleSoft Runtime Fabric (RTF) and MuleSoft integrations.
• Experience working with Salesforce data and reporting environments.
• Microsoft Azure experience.
