Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and tools.

Manage all aspects of database performance, security, integrity, and availability.

Perform regular database maintenance, backups, recovery, and tuning.

Create and maintain documentation on database environments and operations.
-
Monitor and optimize the database system for performance improvements.
-
Implement and maintain database security policies and access controls.
-
Collaborate with application developers and system administrators to support ongoing projects.
-
Design and implement high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
-
Support data migration, data modeling, and data integration efforts.
-
Participate in on-call rotation for 24/7 support of production database environments.
Qualifications:
Required:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
-
3+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA.
-
Proficiency in Oracle RDBMS (12c/19c or later), PL/SQL, and RMAN.
-
Experience with performance tuning, backup/recovery strategies, and replication.
-
Strong knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and database monitoring tools.

Solid understanding of Unix/Linux systems and shell scripting.
Preferred:
-
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
-
Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and ASM.

Knowledge of cloud-based Oracle databases (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, AWS RDS).

Familiarity with other databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) is a plus.

Experience working in DevOps or CI/CD environments.
